about the show:
Now Next Neologists is a performance art centric event curated by New York based artist, Angelina Dreem. Neologism is a newly coined term, word or phrase. The showcase will display Los Angeles' emerging artists-in-motion, those that are ambiguous to genre or categorization, accidental linguists subverting Merriam-Webster, sharing indefinable attitudes from a subtle network of mutually understood discourse. 1052 South Olive St. Downtown, Los Angeles 6pm-midnight.
The event will feature performances and work by Isaac Ladesma of Moustache Mondays, an immersive environment by La Porscha, scream-meme star Jake G Thompson aka OKStupid, new prosthetic experimentation by West; a photography project titled SEXT by Logan White; Indigo Orangutan Gospel of Genesis interactive installation, and video art by FutureEyes.
The event will also feature a showing of Actually Huizenga and Socrates Mitsios' controversial erotic video, SoftRock, at 8pm. Live music by Teams. Djing throughout the night by 333Boys and Dethy Qunt.
Hosted by Labanna Babalon, the woman that brought #WHORESHIP to MOMA/PS1.
