Printed Matter's Synopsis: Logan White's Southern Gothic photo book is a compilation of work made in 2009 and arranged so that images appear cropped, tilted, and framed by other images. Collectively, they paint a picture of youthful rebellion and sexual freedom set amid the musty trappings of crumbling wealth. As the artist describes them, the photographs "explore a mystical connection between sexuality, death, and femininity and suggest a supernatural quality inherent in all things."
